Well today was my seventh week and my first teeth adjustment and tightening.
And god damn did it hurt.
IT HURT.
The actual taking off the wire, snapping on the wire, tugging on the ties and tightening something was a little painful. Well. My ortho was doing something to my front tooth and then suddenly, a pain of lightening strikes up my teeth to my gum and I yelled.
Yup
I chose a nice aqua green colour this time, oh.
AND HE PUT ME ON RUBBER BANDS.
So now I have pretty thin bands that go in a triangle shape and it's called the "Owl."
I'm still talking like normal with them, but I seriously might have some problems when I eat.... it's really in the way of my eating, but the rest I will be fine with.
When I talk, the bands are pretty noticeable and it's like I have saliva or something there.... it's a little creepy and not that appealing but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get used to them.
I don't know if he changed the wire but it still looks pretty similar...
Well the pain is pretty sore and I know later tonight my teeth might be really, really, sore. It's okay, it's all part of my process with getting much more beautiful teeth in the future.
I love that you know these little sacrifices should be endured to get a much more beautiful smile in the future. It's really the goal for brace wearers; it is a path that is never easy but nonetheless chosen by the brave ones. But remember, all the pain and the inability to eat the food that you like will be all worth it when the time comes that you get to have your braces off. Cheers!
