9th week and it's 63 days!

it's night time and I'm writing this late because I didn't write one last week and I don't want to forget... I might post an update picture tomorrow but so far the elastics have moved my bottom teeth apart kind of and there are 2 tiny gaps but it's actually noticeable. I think the elastics are making room for the bottom teeth to move and shift around so they can Straighten. WHICH IS A GOOD THIND!

My right canine I feel like it's moved quarter way? Its not as high as it was 2 weeks ago I can tell you that but it hasn't shifted anywhere down considerably. When I roll my tongue behind it I can still feel the gum. But when I roll my tongue where my left canine is, I can feel the back of the tooth.

I really can't wait till they both align with all my other teeth because I really want to be able to laugh comfortable and smile.

Biting on my front top and bottom teeth isn't as excruciating but still difficult. I can now bite a banana but it feels a little weird and I'll have to do it slowly.

I can't bite into bread or any meats with the front teeth... Apparently the first 3 months is the time when it will be difficult to adjust to braces and so far I can agree. I'm halfway to 3 months and I can tell you now that in the beginning it was pretty hard but after a while, you just self consciously know that you can or can't do this or bite or eat this. You know how to brush your teeth with them on, you ajust to the pain and soon they just become a part of you and not like a foreign subject.

anyways, hopefully I'll update tomorrow morning with a photo if not it was because I forgot. Peace and update soon xoxo

7 week! 49 Days & my first ever adjustment!

Well today was my seventh week and my first teeth adjustment and tightening.

And god damn did it hurt.

IT HURT.

The actual taking off the wire, snapping on the wire, tugging on the ties and tightening something was a little painful. Well. My ortho was doing something to my front tooth and then suddenly, a pain of lightening strikes up my teeth to my gum and I yelled.

Yup

I chose a nice aqua green colour this time, oh.

AND HE PUT ME ON RUBBER BANDS.

So now I have pretty thin bands that go in a triangle shape and it's called the "Owl."

I'm still talking like normal with them, but I seriously might have some problems when  I eat.... it's really in the way of my eating, but the rest I will be fine with.

When I talk, the bands are pretty noticeable and it's like I have saliva or something there.... it's a little creepy and not that appealing but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get used to them.

I don't know if he changed the wire but it still looks pretty similar...

Well the pain is pretty sore and I know later tonight my teeth might be really, really, sore. It's okay, it's all part of my process with getting much more beautiful teeth in the future.

6th week! 42 dayyysssss

No changes! same old same old, although the left canine has considerably sunk back down MUCH more than the left canine... I'll upload a picture tomorrow, because I forgot to take a picture today...

I have an orthodontist appointment next week, Wednesday marking my 7th week and the first appointment since I first put my braces on. I am absolutely looking forward to that!

I'm not sure as to what colour I should change it to, maybe something like light blue. I currently have light purple so maybe light blue would be nice.

I'm thinking as my teeth get better I'll get bolder with the colours but for now, I'll stay subtle.

No major pain, except my back teeth teeth hurt when I push my tongue against it... my front teeth are still sensitive and I can't bite directly to anything yet. I can eat pretty much anything as long as it's in small pieces and I'm chewing it on my back teeth.

can't wait for the appointment next week though! :D I hope my ortho makes some changes and pulls down the canines or something, because I'm extremely excited to be able to smile confidently.... Till next week! xoxox

36th night!

So just then I rolled my tongue with a litttttle but of pressure behind the tooth that I'm pointing at in the photo, and I felt more pain associated there compared to all the other parts of my teeth. And i was immensely happy because that means that the canine next to it, will hopefully start to shift down a bit!

I remember I felt pain in the exact tooth, opposite from it, and the canine next to that tooth had shifted. I'm so excited because my canines will both soon be in the same level and that means that they can start shifting into their supposed to be places!!!

I also feel immense pain in my front right tooth as well, just the one next to the one I was pointing at, and seriously I have no idea why.

Maybe because that one is also shifting as well?

And speaking of that tooth, it has like. shrunk. Like it's smaller than the left front tooth... I have a feeling because before, that tooth used to be pushed out and a little more crooked. You couldn't tell in photos but if I lean back, you can see that the tooth is actually twisted a bit too much to the left and pushed out a bit.

But now, when I lean back to check the alignment of the two front teeth, they both align together.

However the shitty thing is, that even though the tooth is straight; it's friggin noticeably shorter than the other front tooth. I seriously hope this is just a temporary thing, and that it will shift to the same level as the other front tooth.

But seeing as how it's already straight.... I don't know.

I absolutely can't wait for my first appointment with braces in like 12 more days.

Then hopefully my ortho will make some changes and fixes to my canines and my front tooth. Also, not much progress on the bottom teeth and they don't hurt as much as the top.

Okay, see ya next week! xoxo

p.s on the far left side of my cheek I can feel a bit of the wire, but only when I run my tongue over it... I think because my left canine had shifted down that's why the wire has expanded back more. Just something I thought I should had.

Fifth week! 35 days ~

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in 3 days and I guess there's really no way to speed or do anything about my teeth now :( oh well... No major changes; same with the left canine still half way there but not completely. Sigh
