The fourth week! (28 Days) 1 Month.

My left canine has definitely gone down more than the right one.

Whenever I roll my tongue under the tooth, I can feel half gum and half tooth.

However when I roll my tongue under the right canine, all I feel is gum. Like what a missing tooth would feel like.

I've also noticed that my front tooth on the right has straighten considerably... It used to be out a bit and crooked, but now it's actually pretty well aligned with the left front tooth.

However... The tooth is shorter. I don't know why but just then when I was brushing my teeth, I realised the the front right tooth is shorter than my left one...

I'm also scared that I'll have some sort of tooth decay since that right front tooth still has the small yellow mark and no matter how much I brush, it won't go away... I have a feeling it's worn away tooth enamel and I seriously don't want that.

Pain wise, my teeth have been in pain in many different places although it's more sore on one spot than another. The front bottom and top teeth are still sore, not as sore as last week but still sensitive. Hopefully I'll be able to bite with food with them.

So... One month of braces. Just around 17 more months to go. No dramatic changes except that I can actually feel my left canine when I run my tongue on the inside.

Here's the photos:

3 weeks at night

My mouth has been such a pain.

The sores are massive.
No changes.
My throat hurts.
My gum was bleeding again while I was brushing my teeth.

it's so much pain.

Well here's the photo I took this morning... trust me. It looks like I'm happy but I'm not.

Day 21 ; Week 3

Oh what a sight... The sores have formed, and this morning when I woke up; my lips and brackets were joined together and it was seriously a pain to pry them off.

It was only until i ate breakfast and brushed my teeth when the pain subsided.

Update at night but now here are the ugly sores....

Day 20!

I have realised a slight shift, juuusssttt a slight on my left canine compared to the right one. The left one has moved a tiny little bit more downwards and I know this because when I smile the left one has a smaller gap then the right one. And also whenever I brush my teeth over the left canine, it hurts. I complain while I brush but it means that it's probably moving down which is good.

Also, whenever I chew or run my tongue over the small tooth (the one in between the left front tooth and the left canine) it kind of hurts.

When I was brushing my teeth just then, my lower gum started to bleed and I had no idea why. It just started bleeding and I just brushed my teeth twice and the bleeding went away....

My sores are starting to really hurt because they've diverted themselves on my top left and right lip...

I liked using the way however I really want my mouth to toughen up and not be a baby.

So overall, no major changes just minor ones which I might talk about tomorrow if it comes up. But I'm pretty excited because my left canine has started to shift a bit. I'll need to check up photos for comparison but I'm pretty 70% sure it has. Here are some photos and I point at the tooth which has started to move a bit.

Just a selfie! day 16!

Here's just a happy selfie I took while walking home today :)

It is declared... Two weeks! (15 days)

So two weeks have passed sinced my mouth has been invaded with braces. Quick run down:

- front bottom and front top teeth are still sensitive and not able to bite anything AT ALL.
even of like noodles are clamped between these two, it feels like my wire is gonna snap off.

- just two days ago I had 2 of the biggest sore on the inside of my lip, this is near the front left side of my bottom mouth. I haven't used any wax until today mainly because I wanted my mouth to toughen up and get used to it. But the wax makes it a bit better. I also have one other major sore but that one hasn't been a problem, and the brackets and wires have made dents in my mouth.

- people notice them. A LOT. because you know you can just see the braces. even people who have never met me notice them, take for example 5 and 6 year olds.

- heaps difficult to smile or laugh at all because of my teeth + braces.

- it's been pretty uncomfortable to smile in photos (YES! even with just lips and no braces!) it just feels heaps awkward with all that metal filled in your mouth.

- my orthodontist has been heaps nice to me since I've gotten them on; they've been sending me emails with do and don'ts, they've given me some care notes in an information package, they even called a couple of days ago asking me how I was doing with braces. I'm extremely happy that I've chosen this specific orthodontist because the staff and hospitality is incredible!

- I have told them that I do not floss. yes I haven't flossed one day for the whole 2 weeks of my braces regime. which is bad I know I know. But I can't seem to wrap my head around it and I don't have the tools. They told me to go out and buy a flossing product with a stiffer thread at the end for flossing however I just don't have time for that.

- I'm running out of the Colgate travel toothpaste they gave me.

- been brushing my teeth after ever meal (usually 3 times a day because I have school for 6 hours) and mouthwashing morning and night.

- today a piece of tuna for stuck in my teeth and today was the first time I had to go to the bathroom to brush it out with my tiny spikster (small little tooth brush made for braces)

- I have a wedding in one month and I am incredibly fat and my teeth won't shift until my first tightening appointment on October 15th. 10 days after the wedding....

I doubt my teeth will shift at all, however I really hope the canines could sink but...

Anyways that's it for the 2 week update! See ya in next update ~
